Joshua Patrick Allen was born on May 21, 1996, in Firebaugh, California. Allen is the son of Joel Allen and Lavonne Allen and has three siblings named Jason Allen, Nicola Allen, and Makenna Allen. He enrolled at Reedley College, a junior college where one of the assistant coaches married his cousin. After one year, he managed to transfer to the University of Wyoming. Allen graduated from the gymnasium of Firebaugh High School in 2014. Allen started his career when The Buffalo Bills drafted Allen with the seventh overall pick in 2018. On July 25, he signed a four-year guaranteed $21 million contract with the Bills.
